A 29-member delegation of vice-chancellors/rectors and heads of member institutions of Inter-University Consortium for Promotion of Social Sciences in Pakistan (IUCPSS) is scheduled to meet Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa at Governor’s House on Monday (today).
The IUCPSS delegation led by its chairman Prof Dr Muhammad Mukhtar will apprise the governor about the current problems being confronted by the higher education sector in the country.
Meanwhile, National Vice-Chancellors Committee chairman Engr. Syed Imtiaz Husain Gilani will brief the governor about joint recommendations of recently held vice-chancellors
conference which was attended by 130 VCs belonging to public and private sector higher education institutions of Pakistan.
National Committee on Development of Social Sciences chairman Prof Dr Muhammad Nizamuddin will share the developments related to strengthening of social sciences in Pakistan. Higher Education Commission chairman Dr Javaid R. Laghari and executive director Prof Dr Sohail H. Naqvi are also scheduled to attend the meeting.
