IIU bookfair inaugurated
Islamabad: A four-day bookfair in connection with the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal started here on Tuesday at Da’wah Academy of the International Islamic University (IIU).

The fair has been organized as part of five-day programmes of Eid Milad un Nabi from February 8 to 12.

Over 40 publishers from all over the country have setup their stalls at Faisal Mosque with special discount up to 50 per cent for readers.

IIU Vice President Dr. Zafar Ishaq Ansari inaugurated the book fair while IIU President Dr. Mumtaz Ahmad and Sahibzada Sajid-ur-Rehman, director general of Da’wah Academy were also present on the occasion.

Faculty Members, Administrative officers, staff members and a large number of students also attended the inaugural ceremony of the book fair. Dr. Zafar Ishaq Ansari said the habits of book reading depict progress of any community or nation in its civilization.
