IBCC meeting regarding additional marks and marks equivalency
Karachi: A two-day meeting of the Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), comprising the chairmen of examination boards across the country, will be held at the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BISK) on Tuesday.
The meeting would be chaired by Chairman IBCC Professor Anwar Ahmed Zai, who is also the chairman of Board of Intermediate Education Karachi.
The IBCC meeting is expected to discuss a number of issues relating to additional marks and marks equivalency matters, and it is likely to take some decisions during the two-day session.
As per the directives of President Zardari, 10 additional marks had been recommended for the talented scouts, who showed outstanding performances during the last three years.
The IBCC meeting would also review the application of equivalency of Allama Iqbal Open University for its I.Com course.
The meeting will take into consideration the Punjab’s proposal for allowing private candidates to take Secondary School Certificate annual examinations in Science Group. The proposal is likely to be turned down during the IBCC meeting.
The chairmen of examination boards would also consider the A/O levels marks equivalency matter during the meeting. The IBCC members are keen to solve this issue to provide relief to the students registering for international examination system. The news
