International honors for FC College Business students
Lahore Two teams of students from the School of Management Forman Christian College won an international honor by winning the first and second position in the Glo-bus Best-In-Strategy Invitational Championship.

The top two teams in Glo-Bus from School of Management Forman Christian College were selected to play the Best-In-Strategy Invitational that featured 139 winners from other universities worldwide. These teams were placed in 15 industry groups and were invited to compete in a 15-year business simulation. The team of Faisal Pervez, Syeda Ataat Zehra and Hassan Saqlain topped their industry that mirrored competitive dynamics in the global digital camera industry beating teams that included the formidable National University of Singapore among others. The team of Ali Imran, Sohaib ul Haq and Azhar Moazzam stood second in their industry. Remarkably, while the other competing universities have all used Glo-Bus for several years, the game was used for the very first time at FC College.

As recognition of the top team’s performance, Professor Wasif M Khan, Professor of Entrepreneurship FCC, was honored by being selected for the Faculty Hall of Fame where he joins a select group of 67 other faculty members from among 2400 registered faculty from universities using Glo-Bus worldwide.

Glo-bus is used by hundreds of universities worldwide and has been developed by a team led by Professor Arthur Strickland, Professor of Strategy University of Alabama. The teams participating are judged on multiple financial and other dimensions as they make real time decisions on a number of complex business variables such as R and D, workforce compensation, production, outsourcing, product line performance, pricing, and finance in the simulated competitive space.
