KARACHI: Examinations Department of the University of Karachi (KU) on Tuesday announced the results for BEd (Morning Programme) Annual Examination 2011, BEd. First Year (Evening Programme) Annual Examination 2011 and BEd Second Year (Evening Programme) Annual Examination 2011.

Nadia Noor d/o Noor Muhammad and Rabia d/o Muhammad Nazir stood first and second with 1,051 and 1,033 marks respectively in BEd (Morning Programme), while Raheela Ghaffar d/o Abdul Ghaffar and Saira Nawaz Bhatti d/o Nawaz Bhatti both scored third position with 1028 marks each. As per the result statistics, 893 students were registered for the examination out of which 882 appeared and 419 were declared pass. Results of 19 candidates have been withheld due to various reasons. The pass percentage of the result remained 47.51 percent. staff report

According to the statistics, 882 of the total 893 registered candidates appeared in the exam and 419 of them passed it. The pass percentage stood at 47.51.—PPI.

THE University of Health Sciences (UHS) has announced result of first professional BSc nursing annual examination 2011. A press release here on Wednesday said a total of 85 candidates from four affiliated nursing institutes appeared in the exams of BSc nursing 2-year programme. Out of these, 56 passed while 28 could not get through. The pass percentage remained 66.66 per cent.

A total of 85 candidates from four affiliated nursing institutes appeared in the exams, out of which 56 passed the examinations. The passing percentage remained 66.66 percent.

Parents, students, teachers dismayed over errors in exam results

RAWALPINDI: Irregularities in the results of primary and middle standard of Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) have created unease among parents, students and teachers.

According to details, a large number of students who were present and attended their exams are shown to be absent in the results.

Moreover, the PEC website has not been functioning which is another cause of concern.

The teachers have put the responsibility of errors in the result on the computerised system of PEC. Students of Rawalpindi region have lashed out against the poor computerised system as they are facing difficulties in searching for their results. The Punjab Teachers Union, Rawalpindi chapter, has already demanded rechecking of papers, saying that it will change 80 percent of the results. District Education Officer (Secondary) Noshaba Atta, when contacted, expressed ignorance about the issue, adding that the said results are compiled by PEC Lahore. inp

At least 194 male candidates appeared for the examination of which 82 passed. The overall pass percentage was 42.27.At least 468 female candidates appeared in the examination of which 335 passed. The overall pass percentage was 71.58.

No male candidate got A-1 grade, while five female candidates received an A1 grade.Results of the Primary Teaching Certificate (PTC) were also announced by the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK).

KARACHI: Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) announced the result of the Annual Examination 2011 of Primary Teaching Certificate (PTC) and Certificate of Teaching (CT) here on Tuesday. According to statistics, 706 students registered for examinations of PTC, 696 appeared in exam out of which 415 were declared pass. The pass percentage remained 59.63.
