LAHORE An art exhibition, ‘Winds of Change’, was held at the Alhamra Arts Complex on Friday, where artworks of students studying fine arts in the Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, were displayed for the audience to marvel at.
A total of 30 artists displayed over 60 pieces showing the use of several different art techniques; oil painting, miniature art, sculptures, textile work and printing art.
A large number of art lovers and media persons attended the event and appreciated the unique and colourful art pieces. The curator of the event was Aasim Akhtar who, while talking to Daily Times, said, “The aim of the exhibition is to provide a platform to these female artists where they could get exposure to the world of art at large and display their talents outside their home city.” The exhibition continues until December 6 with Sundays off, the timings being 10am to 6pm everyday. staff report (dailytimes)
