KMC to assist in holding ‘Aalmi Mushaira’ delegation of the Sakinan-e-Shehr-e-Quaid Mushaira Committee
The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) will cooperate in the holding of an Aalmi Mushaira on March 22 in the metropolis. Administrator KMC Muhammad Hussain Syed stated this while talking to a delegation of the Sakinan-e-Shehr-e-Quaid Mushaira Committee.
Convener Aalmi Mushaira Committe Azhar Abbas Hashmi, former federal minister Syed Safwanullah, Afzal Siddiqui, Saif-ur-Rehman Girami, Rizwan Siddiqui, Ali Hassan Sajid, Senior Director Muhammad Rehan Khan, Khurshid Shah were also present on the occasion.
The administrator said Mushairas were their cultural tradition, providing opportunities to reflect on local literature, while, at the same time, promoting the local language too. Reviewing arrangements for the event, he issued directives for levelling the ground of the venue, in addition to providing other services like fumigation, drinking water, mobile bathrooms, fire tenders and city wardens.
