Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Medical College on town based quota fix KARACHI Admissions in the second batch of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Medical College (SBBMC) Lyari would be based on the quota of defunct towns this year; however, this policy may be revised next year after nod from the competent authority, SBBMC principal Prof Iqbal Memon told PPI here Tuesday.He said though the government has introduced Commissionerate system in the province and abolished all 18 towns of the Karachi, but this year the SBBMC would grant admissions on 100 seats of MBBS on the basis of old ‘town quota’.He said 15 seats are tagged for defunct Lyari town, 10 each for Keamari, Gadap and Bin Qasim towns and 25 for the rest 14 defunct towns of Karachi. He said 20 seats are reserved for the candidates of Interior Sindh and 10 for self-finance candidates. Prof Iqbal said the last date of submitting admission forms is November 18, 2011, while entry test through National Testing Service (NTS) would be held simultaneously in Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur on November 27, 2011.F.P.Report.
