The Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has introduced, for the first time in its history, mobile units in different areas of the provincial metropolis to facilitate students in getting roll number slips for Intermediate (Annual) Examination 2012, commencing from May 8.
A BISE spokesperson said roll number slips had been dispatched to all the candidates at their residential addresses, however, those who had not yet received the same could get slips from the mobile units. He said mobile units had started working in areas including, Mobile Unit-1(Model Town to Chungi Amer Sidhu), Mobile Unit-2 (Bhaati to Shahdra), Mobile Unit -3 (Garhi Shahu to Jallo Morr) and Mobile Unit-4 (Samanabad to Thokar Niaz Baig). The spokesperson said a total number of 2,78,423 candidates would appear in the said examination. As many as 1,24,041 candidates would appear in Part-I and 1,54,382 in Part-II, he added. Some 507 examinations centres (264 for males and 243 for female candidates) had been established in the BISE limits.
