Karachi:The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has finalised the arrangements for the intermediate exams scheduled to start from May 16. This was stated by BIEK Chairman Prof Anwar Ahmed Zai on Thursday.
He said that the board had given a last chance to candidates to submit exam forms from May 9 to 12. He said that during these four days, the board had received more than 10,000 examination forms.
Prof Zai said that the board had already issued admit cards to private and regular candidates, while the candidates who had submitted their examination forms from May 9 to 12, the admit cards would be issued from May 13 to May 14.
He said that the board had finalised all arrangements for intermediate Part-I and II annual exam- starting from May 16. The BIEK has established 90 examination centres in different colleges of the city he said, adding 47 examination centres would be allocated for male candidates, while 43 for female candidates in the morning shift for science pre-medical, pre-engineering, home economics, medical technology, special candidates groups. He said that 67 centres had been established for commerce (Regular) group; 34 for male and 33 for female candidates in the evening shift.
BIEK Chairman said that the board would not accept any pressure for change in the examination centres. He said that in the first phase of HSC annual examination the Home Economics (Regular) Part-I and II, Pre-Engineering (Regular) Part-I and II, Pre-Medical (Regular) Part-I and II and Commerce (Regular) Part-I and II would start from May 16 and continue till June 13. He said that Arts (Private and Regular) and Commerce (Private) annual examination-2011 would start from June 21 and continue till July 11 in the second phase of the HSC exam.
Prof Zai said that the papers of Home Economics Group (Part-I and II), Pre-Engineering (Part-I and II) and Pre-Medical (Part-I and II) would be held from 9:30am to 12:30pm, while the papers of Commerce Part-I and II (Regular) to be held from 02:30pm to 05:30pm.The news BIEK finalises arrangements for HSC exams
