The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) on Monday declared the result of the Secondary School Certificate-I (Science Group) annual examinations.
The gazette shows that 124,412 students were registered for the examinations and 121, 900 appeared. Out of the total, 95,171 candidates cleared all five papers, while 13,152 managed to pass four papers.
According to the controller examinations, 69,272 male candidates were registered and 67,861 of them appeared in the exams. Some 49,895 male candidates passed all the five papers and 8,288 cleared four.
As many as 55,140 female students were registered and 54,039 candidates appeared in the annual exams, she added. From the total, 45,276 passed in all five papers and 4,864 candidates passed four papers.
At least 17 cases of unfair means were reported by the Governor’s Special Vigilance Team, while 35 such cases were reported by the Over Seen Committee.
The centre superintendents reported around 69 cases of use of unfair means during and after the exams. The BSEK has also withheld the results of some candidates for incomplete documentation.The news.
