KARACHI: Institute of Business Management (IoBM) on Saturday conducted an international seminar entitled ‘France and the Arab world’ aimed at promoting a positive image of Pakistan among global community through positive and practical sharing of ideas and insights over international issues.

The seminar was held at IoBM’s Management Excellence Centre in collaboration with the Pakistan France Business Alliance.

Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Ahmed Khuhro and distinguished scholars were invited from across the world to participate in the seminar. They expressed their views over the chances of cooperation between Pakistan and major European countries for trade and investment opportunities. On the occasion scholars examined different aspects of the French-Arab world relations.

Various research papers were presented by the scholars during the seminar namely French Colonialism in North Africa by Pakistan’s former Ambassador to France Shahid Amin, Islam in France by Institute of Business Administration’s Prof Dr Huma Baqai, France and the Arab Awakening by Habib University Foundation’s Senior Planning Associate Samar Hassan, France and the Middle East by IoBM’s Prof Dr Imdad Shah.

A large number of diplomats, media persons, corporate sector representatives, students and faculty attended the seminar.Daily Times.
