Girls grab top position in RBISE SSC-I exams
Rawalpindi, Aug 26: The overall first position was clinched by two girls in the result of Secondary School Certificate Part-I annual examination 2010 announced by the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education here on Wednesday.

The result was announced by RBISE Chairman Abdul Hafeez Chaudhary at his office.

According to the result Shanzay and Bisma hailing from Fauji Foundation School Gujar Khan and Munir Girls High School Chakwal clinched the top position.

Shanzay and Bisma secured 465 marks and clinched overall first position out of 480 marks. Fahad Farooq of Divisional Public School Shamasabad secured second position by securing 464 marks. Third position was clinched by Kokab Ehsan of Sir Syed Public School Tippu road by clinching 462 marks.

In girls (Science group) Shanzay Tariq (roll number 552639) of Fauji Foundation Secondary School Gujar Khan and Bisma Tariq (Roll number 520289) of Munir Girls High School Chakwal secured 465 marks. Kokab Ehsan (Roll number 556849) a student of Divisional Public School and Iqra Qadir of Sir Syed Public School Tippu Raod got second position by securing 462 marks.

Zainab Khalil (Roll number 560271) of Siddique Public School and Iqra Farooq (Roll number 564274) of Sir Syed Public School and Anam Rehman (Roll number 560133) a student of Saint Pal Secondary School Haidery Chowk Rawalpindi remained third by securing 461 marks.

From boys (Science group) Fahad Farooq (Roll number 582666) of Divisional Public School Shamsabad clinched first position by securing 464 marks. Second position was grabbed by a student of Kallar Kahar Cadet College Mohammad Fasih (Roll number 532668) by securing 461 marks. While third position (boys science) was achieved by a student of Grammar Public School Rawalpindi Sheikh Hassan Tanvir (Roll number 581093) by securing 460 marks.

Two sisters Hafiza Wardah Abdur Ras and Hafiza Maria Abdur Ras of Grammar Public School Rawalpindi topped in arts group by securing 467 and 468 marks respectively out of 550 marks.

The over all pass percentage remained 31.91 per cent. A total of 370 examination centres had been established including 152 for boys and 147 for girls. While 71 centres had been established both for boys and girls.

The total enrolled candidates were 113,418 while 112,250 appeared in the examination. 1,141 candidates remained absent. 35,827 candidates obtained 33 per cent or above marks.
