PESHAWAR, Feb 21: The University of Peshawar (UoP) has decided to hold inquiry into a quarrel between one of its employees and a female employee of the neighbouring University of Engineering and Technology after it created quite a scene on Tuesday morning at the Physics Department.

An accountant of the Physics Department and a female accountant of the UET all of a sudden started quarrelling on the lawn
of the department, which drew attention of those in vicinity.

According to the UoP officials, both the accountants were friends and it was surprising that they created a scene on the campus.

When the Dean of Faculty of Numerical and Physical Sciences Prof Mohammad Riaz was contacted on the issue, he said that when he heard the noise he along with other staff went and calmed both the employees.

He said that though it was a ‘verbal quarrel’, the UoP administration qui-ckly took notice of the incident.

Prof Riaz said that the UoP administration was going to set up a committee to find out cause of the quarrel and take action.

When contacted, the UoP spokesperson confirmed the incident, but did not give details about its cause.
