U students asked to be calm Lahore: The acting vice chancellor of Punjab University (PU) asked the students of Institute of Mycology and Plant Pathology (IMPP) to stop from staging uncalled for protest demonstrations in scorching heat or setting their degrees ablaze because majority of their demands had already been accepted while remedial measures were being taken to speedily remove their grievances. In a press release on Thursday, Acting VC Prof Dr Jamil Anwar Ch said that demands of the protesting students relating to accreditation with Agriculture (Plant Pathology), nomenclature and courses for graduate and advanced degree courses of the IMPP students had already been revised while implementation of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) syllabi for Plant Pathology would be put in place without further loss of time.
